26 weeks…and 27

I know, I know, I’ve been missing the baby updates the past few weeks. To be honest, nothing much is going on. I bought some stuff. I gave in to the hype and started a registry at buy buy baby and wishpot which you can see on the right side over there. We’ve been going to birthing class like good little parents-to-be and I’ve been feeling really good. Very, very tired but good. 

I got a new green t-shirt to replace my pre-maternity one that was busting at the seams just a few weeks ago. Oh my! what a cute little baby bump that was. Compared to that ol thing I am now the size of a whale and still have what? 12 more weeks…sheesh. I guess I’ll be looking back at this post and laughing my ass off at the end of June (and probably peeing in my pants a little if what I read is correct)

Friday we went to the midwife and I got to take my glucose test. Its a test for gestational diabetes which can strike anyone and is pretty harmful to both the mom and baby if its untreated.

The test consists of drinking this GOO just before the appointment on an empty stomach. Thankfully we knew enough to put it in the fridge because ugh! it was awful! Its like serious orange kool-aid. OR maybe flat orange soda. 

Even after I put it over ice to numb my tastebuds I still needed 2 straws to suck it down as fast as possible. Matthew caught me here during a break. I think this is where I went for the 2nd straw.

Finished eventually. Results to come this week…
