Oh I think its the fact that her diary was published in the newspaper! They scanned 2-3 pages and had them featured on the front page. Of course most people did not know it was her but within minutes of reading I sure did.

I can see why she would be mortified.
I do love how the newspaper set it up to be a a love story from like the 1940′s, and then is all the journal starts in 2000. Sensational journalism
