We went on Saturday. Matthew has wanted to go for years and years and I…didn’t. Come on, I get seriously Christmassed out you guys. I often have to enforce the completely reasonable Christmas music rules around here (Sundays in November and every day after Christmas) Its just. Too. Much.
Anyway Matthew is so lucky because there are only a few people in all the world that love both Christmas and musicals as much as he does and they are related to him. Some were also here for Thanksgiving weekend. Last Thanksgiving we all got to see White Christmas so this year little Matthew finally got his Chreeeestmas weeeeesh.
We were able to get pretty great seats last minute, which is really lucky.
All 4 Piercys were RIVITED natch, including the wee one. Of course Asher loves musicals. And if he doesn’t, well that’s too bad for him I guess.
But what’s not to love?
He was great, and totally happy to sit on my lap and watch the show
Until the last 15 minutes, when he got kinda fussy so we took a walk. I don’t know why I was so concerned. The show has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas! Its just like holidays in new york with the Rockettes! Singing! Tapping! Riding a touristy bus! Really kind of cute and awesome to see the Rockettes for the first time.
Then later in the car we are talking about our favorite parts and Matthew said he loved the nativity.
The what now?
Apparently they bust out the Jesus stuff at the end so they can call it a Christmas show. Well I guess I left at the right time. Awww SNAP!
Now I have something to look forward to the next time we go, because seeing how much Asher loved it, I am sure we will be back.
My friend Helen sent me a link to the coolest thing ever, a Diana lens for my camera!
Who needs a stinkin separate film camera when I can slip this on my SLR and take funky retro diana pix anytime.
Hey other aunties near and far…
Just a bit of news for you.
The boy is quite smitten with Auntie Jaime.
You may need to step up your game.
That’s all I’m sayin!
For Matthew’s family’s Christmas gift exchange we were all assigned a name and and have to submit lists of some things that we might want. Matthew’s sister Theresa has me and I am sure she’ll find me something that makes me smile, list or no list, but it was requested so here it is. If you want to buy me something make sure to let her know, double gifts are such a hassle.
The budget is $50 but I figured I’d just add a bunch of random stuff and post it here.
other:
soft scarves in fun colors. for warmth or fashion)

Aaaaaaand that wraps up my 2 consecutive posts on pumpkin. I will now write a week’s worth of posts on other things I have no interest in. Hope everyone is super excited to hear about baseball stats, sci-fi novels and how computers work!
I cannot get away from the pumpkin these days. Almost every blog I read today had a recipe for pumpkin. Even some of the design blogs. I can’t really say that any of these look especially good to me because I just don’t care for the stuff but if you are looking for a round-up of pumpkin recipes I read in the last week it is your lucky day!
While reading last week’s New York Magazine I came across this interesting article on how they have been sneaking some really great design into the necessary renovations of city buildings over the past few years.
I called it last February. I love this stuff. It takes approximately 1 minute to make the most delicious iced coffee in the morning at about 1/3 the price of the place on my corner.
If you have netflix you can watch tons of movies and TV shows for no additional cost right on your computer. Pair it with your headphones and its really handy when your 4month old goes to sleep in your room at 6pm.
