first day in big boy car seat
We finally got Asher a convertible car seat! The first one we had goes up to 32lbs/32″ (I highly, highly recommend this seat!) so technically we have a little time but we knew we needed an upgrade so we finally bit the bullet last week. After much research and debate we went with the Britax Boulevard for a number of reasons, one being the footprint is slimmer than other options. Since we weren’t sure what seat would fit in our tiny car I contacted Alisa “the car seat lady” and it was the best decision we could have made. Her fee is small compared to the amount of information she gave us. She recommends car seats in your price range that will fit best in your car (or really fit your needs as people I know have used her without even owning cars) Then you go to her house and she shows you how to install the seat PROPERLY. Now, I watched her do it, then watched Matthew do it and I still didn’t do it perfectly when it was my turn so I guarantee most people do not have their car seat installed correctly. She determined that even though we have the latch system it is not rated for the center seat in our car so she installed it with the belt. She also recommended a seat for traveling, and for my parents car AND told us how to install it. It was all around awesome and Asher seems pretty comfy in his new ride. What’s not to love? its so SHINY and PRETTY and SOFT.
Then 2 days later we drove to Montreal and he barfed all over it. There’s a lesson here. I’m just not sure what it is.

That’s the same as Ethan’s. The good news is that it’s cleanable. I’ve had to clean it. A few times. Ugh.
