The other night we hung out on the stoop long enough to watch multiple people try to pull into a teeny tiny parking spot across the street from the house.
Do you see that yellow line in the street next to the drivers door?
Here…
That is the driveway line. People have no idea how big their cars are!
That’s my 2 year old laughing at you dude. Keep circling.
We headed down to the Jersey Shore for a day trip yesterday (90mins) and met up with my friend Bridget and her family.
I couldn’t really explain to Asher where we were going since he’s never been to a proper beach OR boardwalk OR rides but I told him we were seeing Cathrine and Elisabeth and it was going to be a lot of fun.
Boy did I deliver!
After the boardwalk we headed to their house for a BBQ before heading home.
And then you guys, Bridget (who also has a tiny 10 week old baby) made SMORES for dessert. It was deeeeeelicious! We finally wore out our welcome around 730pm but a happily fed and washed Asher fell asleep 2 minutes after getting into the car for the drive home.
Over the past 2 years a handful of moms and babes from my moms group have left Brooklyn for various reasons. Its sad to see them go but we now have buddies in London, Bermuda and the always exotic Maplewood, NJ. This week Asher’s buddy Hunter is leaving us for Connecticut so one of the moms threw a pool party. It was a blast!
It has been raining here all week. Real rain. If its not pouring its drizzling. We can’t go to the playground so Asher’s depressed. We’re all depressed. The only thing that makes me smile is seeing him in his yellow Aigle rain boots and the fact that after going to 8 stores I finally found a rain jacket that matches them! Its the little things.
This pic is from our trip to San Francisco last month. We had a really great time and fantasized about living there more than once. I should just do a post on what we ate because it was all phenomenal. I should also do a post on how we dealt with vacationing with a toddler because it was not phenomenal. For now all I can handle is this poppy seed lemon loaf from the amazing Tartine. Its amazing amazing amazing. Matthew got the bread pudding which was strawberry and he said he could eat it every day. So its probably best we don’t live there after all.
Yesterday we went to a BBQ with some of Asher’s buddies. These 2 lovely ladies are Lucy and Eva. Their moms are in my infamous moms group so the 3 of them have been friends since before they were born. Lucy and Asher even have the same bday (Eva’s is a few days later.)
I love watching them turn from newborns to toddlers together.
